Asymmetry & Odds
I’ve been thinking about my strongest images I’ve created. This one of Carly is still one of my favorites! I love it because of it’s asymmetry.
There is something about asymmetry (and odd number sequences) that my eye is drawn to. My favorite haircuts I’ve had, and like to cut, are asymmetric. I shop in odds sets, shoot collections of models in series of 3 and 5, I only use my odd irons when golfing; all of these habits I was not aware of until some one pointed it out to me.
I think it’s like looking at a Jackson Pollock painting, you can make sense out of the chaos.
